The Telangana State Government will be conducting the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) on January 24, 2016. The exam is being conducted for recruitment at 1,069 primary and secondary level teacher posts. The exam pattern for the same has been changed.
As per TET exam pattern, there are two papers. Paper 1 is conducted for teachers opting to teach in Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for teachers wishing to teach students from Class 6 to Class 8.
Eligibility criteria
Educational qualification:
The candidates interested in applying for this exam should have passed graduate degree in concerned subjects and should have also qualified B.Ed exam or equivalent from a recognised university/college.
TS TET 2016 exam pattern
The TS TET Exam will be conducted in 2 papers.
Paper 1
Paper 1 consist of the following sections:
Child Development and Pedagogy
Language I
Language II
Mathematics
Environmental Studies
Paper 2
Paper 2 consist of the following sections:
Child Development and Pedagogy
Language I
Language II
Mathematics and Science
Social Studies
Selection procedure
A written test and interview will be conducted for shortlisting and final selection of the candidates.
The candidates who intend to be teachers for Class 1 to 8 have to appear for both the papers, i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test is also known as TS TET. It is a mandatory entrance exam for candidates wishing to get teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8.
